Firefighter Brian Visits Grades 1V and 1M

Today we invited Mr. Brian MacGillivray into our classroom to teach us about fire safety. Firefighter Brian is a firefighter with the Vancouver Fire Department. He told us all about the ABC's of fire safety, smoke detectors, how to safely leave a burning building, how to make a fire plan to get out of our homes in case of a fire, and when to STOP, DROP and ROLL. Firefighter Brian also showed us some of the awesome (and noisy) equipment that he uses when he is working hard to fight fires! We even got Fire Chief hats to remember the day!!

SKYTRAIN and SEABUS ADVENTURE - Nov. 23

GRADES 1M and 1V are looking forward to their SKYTRAIN and SEABUS adventure on Wednesday, November 23. This will be an all day trip and we will soon be asking for parent volunteers!

Grade 1M Visits With Our ELIM Grandbuddies - October 4, 2011

Grade 1M had a WONDERFUL time meeting and greeting our Grandbuddies from ELIM (the senior's residence beside the primary campus)this afternoon. We spent lots of time talking with our Grandbuddies about what we were thankful for. We wrote these things down on autumn colured leaves and then we pinned them all on our THANKFUL TREE! Now - we can't wait to visit our Grandbuddies again next month!!
